The Fair is a huge deal in Tillamook and people come from all over the country to see the animals, the horse races, and of course the Pig and Ford Races. My favorite part of the Fair, naturally, is the floral display. And since the fair is a week away, that gives us all plenty of time to get out into the garden and find something to enter. It will be an unusual display this year because so many of the flowers put on an early show and will be virtually over by the second week in August. But on the other hand, we may see flowers not often seen at the Fair because they generally bloom later into the fall. Some of my roses are putting on a second and third round of blooms, so those may be possibilities, too. If you have never entered the County Fair, this may be a good year to try.

I know for a fact the entries will not be accepted if they violate any of the guidelines. Some exhibitors get quite competitive especially in the artistic displays.
